• What types of strings do you offer for tennis racquets?

There are three main types of tennis strings we offer are: synthetic gut, multifilament, and polyester. Here's a brief explanation of each type:

Synthetic Gut: Synthetic gut strings are made from a blend of various materials and are designed to mimic the playing characteristics of natural gut strings. They provide a good combination of power, control, and playability at a more affordable price than natural gut.

Multifilament: Multifilament strings are made up of many small fibers woven together, creating a soft and comfortable feel. They provide good power, feel, and playability, but tend to be less durable than other string types.

Polyester: Polyester strings are made from a solid, ultra-durable material that offers exceptional control and spin. They often lose tension faster than any other string, can be less comfortable to play with and less forgiving than other string types.

Each type of string has its own unique playing characteristics and choosing the right one will depend on your individual playing style, preferences, and needs. It's always a good idea to try out different types of strings to see which one works best for you.

  • What tension should I string my racquet?

The tension you string your racquet at depends on various factors such as your playing style, skill level, and personal preference. Here are some general guidelines to follow:

The recommended tension for tennis racquets varies depending on the brand, model, and type of string being used. However, a general range for tension is between 45-60 pounds. The most common tensions used are 52-54. It's recommended to start with a tension within this range and make adjustments based on personal preference and playing style.

Higher Tension: If you're an aggressive player who generates a lot of power, a higher tension (above 55 lbs) will provide more control and stability.

Lower Tension: If you're a touch player who values comfort and spin, a lower tension (below 55 lbs) will provide more power and a larger sweet spot.

Personal preference: Ultimately, the best tension for you is the one that you feel comfortable with and allows you to play your best. It's also a good idea to experiment with different tensions to see what works best for you.
